edy modica

greetings. my name is edy modica and i am a comedian, writer, and comic illustrator. i have never lived outside of New York aside from a 3 month period in New Jersey when i was 6, but i got stuck in the bathroom at school and the teacher forgot about me so we moved back. 

 

i now live in brooklyn where i am constantly questioning our existence over numerous slices of pizza. 

 

i perform stand up comedy as different characters all over brooklyn, manhattan, and long island city. these places include Over the Eight, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Creek and the Cave, Baby Castles, The People's Improv Theater, and Shea Stadium, to name a few. I will soon be hosting a monthly show at Over the Eight! 

 

i also have a comic series called Double Mmeeaatt. i am currently working on a collaborative zine featuring comic artists and writers who share my love of spaghetti and existentialism. You can find some of my zines in the independent section of Desert Island Comics in Williamsburg!
